MONICA A. GARZA, ASSOCIATE
BIOGRAPHY
Monica A. Garza is an Associate with the firm. Prior to joining the firm, Monica gained litigation experience as a criminal defense attorney in Houston, Texas. Currently, Monica’s responsibilities include assisting in the representation of various types of utility districts and emergency service districts as well as assisting in the firm’s election law section.
Monica graduated from Trinity University (B.A. 2011) where she earned a degree in Sociology and South Texas College of Law where she graduated cum laude (J.D. 2014). While in law school, Monica received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for earning the highest grade in Legal Research and Writing I & II. Additionally, she was on the dean’s list for several semesters and a recipient of various academic scholarships.
In her personal time, Monica enjoys spending time with her husband, Jesse, and their dog, Cletus, as well as running along the Bayou and traveling.
